20 years later and it would still be a 50-50 shot that I’d be right if you showed me this image and asked me if I was looking at Feral or Wolfsbane. Both characters are just BARELY interesting characters on their own. Wolfsbane’s neuroses concerning the fact that her “normal” state is still half-dog edge out Feral’s more cliched Morlock refugee with a chip on her shoulder, but the existence (or should I say x-istence) of both characters ruins them both (and yes, I know Feral is supposed to be more of a cat… or is she?). Whatever, Feral is Rob Liefeld’s Wolverine sex fantasy.

Her  power rating gives her a 4 for Strength, and a 3 for Fighting Ability, which is a switch for Wolfsbane. Odd, if I had my way I’d’ve probably had it the OTHER way around, with Wolfsbane edging Feral out for strength (dogs are stronger than cats, right?), but Feral has more spunk when she fights.

But really, to put this into further perspective: According to this, Feral is twice as strong as Wolverine.

The card art fares a bit better than Wolfsbane’s bland pose, but Feral looks way too posed here, and the pose is wrong. She looks like she’s about to throw you a Sho-Ryuken, and the trim on her right glove makes it look like she’s got an energy power. But she does look sufficiently feral.

The bio’s first sentence would be more appropriate without the phrase following the comma.

    “Just another furry?”

    Yes.
