Banshee in new Russian X-Men: First Class trailer
16 Mar
I’d been meaning for a while to do supplemental posts in between the normal X-Card reviews, on things X-Men, Marvel, or Jim Lee-related, but since I decided to launch this blog in probably the busiest time in my professional career, I just hadn’t gotten around to it. Until now!
A Russian trailer for the upcoming X-Men: First Class just came out, and other than being in Russian, it’s notable for showing us the first real look at Banshee, which we reviewed just yesterday.
I’m most excited by the fact that he’s got his yellow and black striped wings, since as I’d said, I always thought Banshee had a really cool costume: unique to his character (and power, mimicking his manipulation of sound waves), but still very X-manly.
Coincidentally I’ve also been re-reading old X-Mens again out of boredom and last night actually just came upon Banshee’s first appearance in X-Men #28, January 1967, when he appeared as a tobacco-addicted art thief (also he originally looked 50 years old).
